I am having a party in August for E3’s return. I don’t have time to do one of my buffets and full bar parties. So instead I am going to do “white trash”. Nothing but the best for E3.
There is going to be a Pabst keg, cocktail meatballs, pigs n blanket, buffalo chicken dip, etc. Stuff I can throw together. And UF colors will be flying. Since football season will be upon us.
I have to say, everyone that I have told what I am doing thinks it will be really fun and kitschy. AND for me it will be cheap.
I am going to provide one hard liquor since we will be providing the keg. Which is so cheap since it is Pabst. So vote for your favorite booze.
UPDATE: I forgot Evan Williams which is so cheap. E3 wanted me to tell you.
June 30 (Bloomberg) — EBay Inc., the world’s largest Internet auctioneer, was ordered to pay LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA 40 million euros ($63 million) over claims it didn’t do enough to stop the sale of counterfeit goods.
LVMH, the world’s largest luxury-goods maker, claimed in the Paris lawsuit that EBay has a heightened responsibility to prevent fraud. The ruling also places limits on the online sales of LVMH perfumes.
“It’s a groundbreaking decision that will help protect creativity,” said Pierre Gode, a member of LVMH’s supervisory board and adviser to chairman Bernard Arnault. “It’s an important precedent.”
LVMH said it found in 2006 that 90 percent of the Louis Vuitton and Dior-labeled perfumes, watches and handbags on EBay were fakes. Online sales of counterfeit clothes, bags and jewelry cost makers of original products about $30 billion a year, Tiffany & Co. and other retailers claim in a U.S. lawsuit.
EBay said in a statement that it would appeal.
“Today’s ruling is not about our fight against counterfeits; today’s ruling is about an attempt by LVMH to protect uncompetitive commercial practices at the expense of consumer choice and the livelihood of law-abiding sellers that EBay empowers everyday,” EBay said in an e-mailed statement. “We will fight this ruling on their behalf.”
`Trust and Security’
EBay already spends about $20 million annually on “trust and security” matters and has 2,000 employees around the world to fight counterfeits.
Another court ruled this month in a case filed by Hermes International SA that the San Jose, California-based company is a partner to its vendors and must take more steps to fight fakes.
The cases in France, EBay’s fourth-largest market, are seeking to raise the legal requirements on the company. The judge in the Hermes case said EBay should require certificates of authenticity and serial numbers for sales.

Being smug that I cut a minute of my mile time. (But not the hurt knee).
Roast chicken and salad. Non-fat dressing
Gin, Diet Tonic and extra limes.
My tan line. Just enough so I don’t look like I spend all my time in caves
Cupcakes from Little Cake. (Normally I despise cupcakes, but these are great. Plus, they are little. Not totally half a cake which some companies think is appropriate. It’s not.)
The fact that I got Crane Christmas cards from last year 50% to use this year.
Pink Lady Apples
Counting down the days till E3 comes home.
Realizing again that when E3 is home, my travel will cut immensely and I get my social life back. No more psuedo-single.
I love these mini-shift dresses that are everywhere for summer. Chaiken has made this fab one.
Lilly has quite a few options as well. But everyone said I needed to lengthen them to wear them during the day. Due to my height.
I noticed in some the of the fall options in lines like Tibi that the mini is everywhere. I think it would be great, especially in the South, with tights and boots for fall. And I would feel like I was having a Gwyneth moment. I loved all those minis she wore promoting Iron Man. However, I would not be wearing the scary YSL and McQueen platforms.
I was in DC this past weekend. FOR THE LAST TIME. No more Silver Spring and suburbs for me. The highlight of this last trip was a visit to Ben’s Chili Bowl. After an afternoon at the pool and champagne consumption (it is one of the only adult beverages that does not make me ill anymore) we went on an adventure down 16th to get chili dogs. Much to the dismay of my insides. They will get over it.
These really were the best chili dogs, chili cheese fries, chocolate shakes and fruit punch ever.
