Restaurants to Love (and to ruin your diet) - Ben’s Chili Bowl »

I was in DC this past weekend. FOR THE LAST TIME. No more Silver Spring and suburbs for me. The highlight of this last trip was a visit to Ben’s Chili Bowl. After an afternoon at the pool and champagne consumption (it is one of the only adult beverages that does […]

Recent Travels »

Here are some pictures of some of my recent travels from Tennessee, Virginia and DC. Different hotels, restaurants and a 2 am shot from outside 18th Street Lounge in DC.
All while I had a staph infection from the hospital, stomach virus and allergic reaction to something unknown. Good times.

Restaurants to Love - Citronelle, Washington D.C. »

I was in the DC/MD area this past weekend. My mother was up to visit her brother too. On Friday we all went to Citronelle. We were lucky to be able to order the Promenade Gourmande with the wine pairings. This meal was amazing and we had the best time together. […]

Stuck inside in MD. »

Ok, so I am in Maryland. AGAIN. This month has been beyond hectic for me. And it’s not over yet. Still haven’t written about so many things. Plus, I lost my voice last week. It’s not totally back yet.
The below is what happens when you are stuck inside, don’t […]

What’s Going On? »

Here’s some updates.
Travelled all over Virginia.
Fired that guy.
Got crabs (Ed did, see the pictures).
Received the chinese lanterns. So cute.
Finalized baby shower menu.
Addressed Cocktail invites.
Went somewhere scary - Hancock Fabrics.
Drove to the scary side of town to pick up my FedEx package containing LV clutch. Seriously, Magic City is still open. VERY SCARY.
Here’s […]

I went to Baltimore, Hampden specifically »

I went to the Baltimore Blogger Happy Hour on Friday night. Why you ask? Obviously, I am not from Baltimore, but I read their blogs and we DON”T KNOW ANYONE HERE. And that is weird to not know anyone.
We had a good time, drank some margaritas, Ed decided he loved Hampden and […]

How annoying »

I booked myself a ticket into Dulles instead of Reagan by accident.
BEYOND ANNOYING.
And I booked it weeks ago.
**UPDATE**
So instead of a $3.19 metro ride, I get to take a $75 car service to Silver Spring.
Umm, Yeah. There goes one of the many items I want a J.Crew.

Restaurants to Love - Citronelle and Butterfield 9 »

Like I said, I was in DC with my mom this past weekend. Her brother came out with us. We had one of those amazing family times that just don’t come around that often. We went to Citronelle and Butterfield 9. Both were fantastic. Service with Peter at Butterfield was […]

Scenic MD and other things. »

I got a new camera, which my site does not want to upload the pictures from. To high res.
So we are going to try this.

These pictures are from Silver Spring, College Park, Annapolis, and Easton, MD. The Pink Crab is actually where the old April Cornell store used to be. […]

They have many, many mattress discounters »

It is the funniest thing about this area called College Park/Silver Springs/White Oak. Every strip mall has 1-2 mattress discounters in it. Needless to say Ed picked one and got a bed. We were so busy getting everything settled we did not do anything fun except go to the pool and work […]

It is the funniest thing about this area called College Park/Silver Springs/White Oak. Every strip mall has 1-2 mattress discounters in it. Needless to say Ed picked one and got a bed. We were so busy getting everything settled we did not do anything fun except go to the pool and work out. PLUS, no internet. That really bothered me. The lack of TV was not a big deal. I will be taking John’s advice next time. My little dog is in a depression due to her family not living together.

We saw where the Washington Times and Post are printed. Separately, of course. Woo-Hoo! And I saw the Discovery Channel building. That’s it. We ate at Bombay Indian Restaurant twice. It is on the 100 Cheap Eats from the Washingtonian. Dinner is not cheap. The buffet is. And I gotta say, we were hoping to get away from the no booze on Sunday thing that Georgia does. Seems as though the lovely Montgomery County feels the same way. That sucks.

On to U of M. Saw the campus. All the buildings match. And frat row looks straight out of a movie.

Did get to eat a cheesesteak from South Street Steaks. So amazingly good. The cheesesteak really is the junk food of a foodie. Saw U.Cluck. Both of these referenced establishments have been featured on the Food Network.

We are hoping to get tickets either the Georgia Tech or Clemson games in October. And that is another thing. In Atlanta, you see every team represented. It is all SEC and ACC all the time. Up in MD it is only Terps. NOTHING ELSE. Odd.

And finally, a special congratulations to my lovely friend Connie. She got engaged to our rockstar friend. (He is manager of an Apple Store and every one is very impressed by that. It is like Tommy Lee walked in the room. Seriously.) It is going to be an amazing marriage and we are so happy for you.
