Fashion - To Repeat, Or Not to Repeat
The JLA Charity Ball is October 3 and I want to go. It is a Black and White Masquerade a la Truman Capote. Fabulous right?
I can not find a dress that I would 1. Want to wear again 2. Does not look like prom 3. Is not super expensive (like the Marc by Marc Jacobs I picked out) 4. I actually want to pay for.
Last year I had a great dress from DVF that was black and perfect. I loved it. Wore it to a wedding and one other event too. It would be perfect for this year, but I have already worn it and it would need to be taken in quite a bit.
Should I just suck it up and have it taken in? None will remember unless they look at the pictures from last year. Ugh, so frustrating.

I say wear it if you can’t find something else. It’s not fun to buy and wear a dress you don’t love.
Wear it again!! Especially in this economy!!
That is what I am thinking. It is just not worth it. Maybe I can get a new pair of shoes.
Oh, absolutely wear it again! If it was perfect you simply must wear it again! And, if it is black then it’s doubtful very many people will remember it… don’t you think?
Besides, if anyone were to ever ask, “Gee, have I seen that on you before?” or some other socially inept question you have the pleasure of looking them straight in the eye and responding, “Oh my gosh yes! I simply couldn’t resist wearing it after having it taken in twelve sizes! And bless your heart, what size is that?!” (Or something of a similar vein.)
You will, no doubt, look stunning.
Grins & Giggles for a wonderful weekend!

I agree with most - wear it again - especially if it was a great look! In this economy, who won’t understand?
Get it taken in (lucky b****) then go get some fabulous shoes, mani/pedi, get your make up done for you… and maybe a new clutch! Or jewelry!
