Weekend Recap - Caffeine Withdrawl
I had started having some internal issues at the beginning of last week. AGAIN. One of the items I was told to get off of was caffeine. Fine. I can do this.
Friday started my first day. Extremely tired but no headache. Had a tapas dinner with E3 at home and went to bed.
Saturday woke up with slight headache but went skeet/trap shooting anyway. That was so great! Actually was better at trap. Hope to go back here next week. But that afternoon was when the real fun started. Head pounding, large intakes of water, and sleeping made up the rest of the day.
Sunday was terrible. It started at 7:30 am with extreme, vice-like pain in my head. Nausea, chills, muscle pain/soreness. They really need a floor at Betty Ford for caffeine withdrawl. It is that freakin’ bad. My mother called because I was supposed to be at work. I just started crying my head hurt so bad.
Around 3:30 I broke down and took an Excedrin with no asprin (can’t have asprin either). That had some relief, but really need to not take it to completely get off caffeine.
Needless to say, I am glad I did not buy tickets for the Harvest Midtown preview party for last night. There was no way I could have gone. I literally could not get out of bed.
Tired today, but headache seems to have subsided some. I swear, if I can quit caffeine I can do anything.

I am cheering for you! Several years ago I decided to cut out caffeine and it was quite the adventure. I hope your body adjusts soon!!
I have been wondering recently if caffeine is wrecking havoc on me- I have heard about more and more people who are cutting it. Hmm, research time. Good luck!
I hope you fell better today. I could not imagine a day w/o my cup o joe.
My DH went to Teavana and got the Orange Rooibos Tea which is supposed to help with caffeine withdrawal. He was going on a rafting/hiking trip in the Grand Canyon and needed to detox fast before he left. He drank it hot and iced. I think I saw a Teavana at Phipps Plaza the last time I was in GA.
