Real Housewives of Atlanta - Gag

I finally watched all of the preview episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta that I had tivo’d many moons ago.

I just really don’t know what to say. I don’t know any of those people. I have a friend that goes to the opening of an envelope and she doesn’t know these people.

I feel like anything I say will be taken poorly, so I won’t say anything.

One thing is that this show is going down hill. It reminds me of My Super Sweet Sixteen on MTV. Fun the first time around, but everytime since gets more and more over the top to the point where I don’t watch anymore.

Thoughts?

STILL haven’t seen it although it doesn’t sound like I am missing much. Actually it sounds as bad as Jo and Slade’s “Date My Ex!”

That says it all and more eloquently than most. Every iteration of the show just reaffirms how money and class seldom coexist.

What both of the above commenters said. I couldn’t have said it better myself. But I will say that I never gave RHWoOC or RHWoNYC a second look. After your assessment of RHWofATL I think my life will stay blissfully RHW-free!

I was shocked when I watched that show. I will not be watching any more episodes.

A, I think it might actually be worse than Date My Ex.

  5. I watched it as well and as a native Atlantaan, born and raised in the Brookhaven area, let me just tell you that NONE of these women live even remotely CLOSE to the perimeter, and I’m fairly certain NONE of them are even actually FROM Atlanta. I’m so disapointed that these are the women they would chose to represent my hometown. These women live so far OTP that I would be very surprised if they ever even actaully go into Atlanta.

I wholeheartedly agree. A desinger for one of the wives was a client of mine (I have a gallery and design shop on Miami Circle) and was - shall we say - somewhat difficult to work with. I have no interest whatsoever in watching it.

  7. I’m still bummed I missed it but the more I hear about it, the less bummed I am…

I know how you feel. There was a horrible show “The Tuesday Night Book Club” a few years ago that was filmed in Scottsdale where I lived for many years and the women they had on that show were horrible and really didn’t represent the area too well.
