Going Out in the ATL - Tidbits
1. When did Highland Tap’s martinis go up to $12? Did I just not look closely at the bill. But they are now $12. Such a disappointment. They used to be so cheap in my memory. I just think that is a high price for that establishment, including the $16 they wanted to charge for my vegetable plate.
2. Steamhouse Lounge - Not a bad spot. So, so bar food. My friend and I stayed for 6 hours a couple of weeks ago. Neither of us are getting vacations this summer due to work, so we made it an afternoon and evening with “Sex on the Beach” shots. I haven’t had one of those in like, 10 years. So tasty.
3. Loca Luna (newish location) - got the call from a friend to stop by and say “Hi”. Stopped by and quickly left. Very hot, Very OTP, Very slutty, Very tacky. I do not recommend.
4. Kyma - The key lime martini was amazing. Appetizers were amazing as always. Made better with a Buckhead Life gift card.
5. The Blackout - Hanging out in the front yard of your condo building, drinking and watching the craziness is a lot more fun than staying inside in the dark. Plus, the heat inside was unbearable.

Holy cow– I remember being a semi-regular at the Highland Tap during my college days. If they’d had even *close* to $12 martini’s, I wouldn’t have darkened their door but once! Too bad, isn’t it? And unless they sauteed them in gold dust and added a side of caviar, $16 for a vegetable plate is outrageous.
Also, what does OTP stand for?? If I had to guess, it’s probably similar to PWT.
OTP = Outside the Perimeter
I feel you on Loca Luna. SO not my haunt of choice.
