Fashion - Atonement Dress, the cheap version
I am at work, but I thought this was interesting. The below is from Page Six.
New ‘it’ Gown
DESIGN house Faviana has competitors green with envy over its “must-have” Keira Knightley emerald-green gown from her new film, “Atonement.” The couture dress, which cost tens of thousands of dollars to create, was highlighted last week in The Post’s Pulse section. Then Knightley won a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. So now the designers at Faviana are banking on selling thousands of knockoffs of the 1930s-inspired gown, to be in stores mid-January priced at $238.
I don’t really consider this a knock-off since the designers themselves are selling it. Remember, I try to stay away from knock-offs, if at all possible. I am interested in this though.

The dress is stunning. The Faviana dress isn’t completely horrid considering the price. The general idea is right. I would have thought it impossible to re-create it in the first place lol
The original is gorgeous. Keira looks fabulous (she can do most any dress justice). I can’t wait to see the movie. She also looks fab in the Chanel commercial as well.
I love the color, but I’m just not that into the dress. I think it looks great on Keira, but I’m not sure it would look as great on a curvy figure.

you can see it at this website and i think this pic does the dress more justice than the faviana pic.. beucase it truly is a regal dress. ofcourse, i dont look like keira knightley wearing it, but I do feel liek a stunner.
All the copies aren’t quite there yet. The material and color are still a bit off. The green needs to be brighter, a bit more grass-colored and the material of the edressme.com dress is too silky and shiny. Almost there though.
