It’s not my fault, I got distracted
I went to talk again tonight at JLA again. I did prepare too!!! I swear!!!
It started out relatively well. Talking slower, making sense, looking across the crowd. That lasted 10 seconds. This girl was looking at me like I was CRAZY. Her brow was totally furrowed. It looked like it needed a couple of hits of Botox. Plus, she was shaking her head back and forth in DISAGREEMENT. That did it. Train of thought lost, could not get back. Talk over.
The Chair looked at me when I walked out and was like “That was short.”
Yes, yes it was. I’m sorry. Lesson learned. Practice OUT LOUD beforehand if no real public speaking in a long time.
