I was not prepared…,
Normally, I am a good public speaker and can think fast on my feet. Not tonight!!!! I had to go speak to the new provisionals at JLA about their upcoming year. I was terrible. I spoke a mile a minute and was obviously nervous. Literally, 1000 words in two minutes. I kind of forgot about it with everything going on. Unfortunately, I told the story about people showing up to the Atlanta Bus Tour hung over and having to go see the trauma unit at 8:30 am. Not as funny as I thought it would be. Plus, the outfit and the makeup were not up to par. Ed left this morning and I had to deal with that and did not have time to put anything cute on.
Oh, well. I get to do it again tomorrow night. If you are there cut me some slack.

I’m sure it wasn’t that bad… now this poor girl… that’s another story…. see below

Don’t fret! I’m sure you remember sitting in their shoes at your first provisional social, being too concerned about your own self-image to notice or fault anyone else!
HYSTERICAL! I am sooo bad at public speaking…I always talk so fast that it sounds like I am speaking another language. I posted a myspace bulletin regarding your blog inviting everyone to read it. I think I am going to start my own blog since I feel like I am way too old for myspace. Its going to be nothing but complaints….I figure thats what I am best at.
Natalie, you are to funny.
ugh god i can’t public speak for the life of me, i get all tongue tied!
Ahh, I’m sure you were fine. We are always so hard on ourselves. Better luck next time.
I am sure you were fine too! You know I did that once for an industry thing- I got up there and started trembling and was like - focusing on that - afterwards everyone said what a good job I did- We are always our worst critics- and if a little nerves came out- it shows you are sweet and charming and people will find you approachable-
good luck tonight!
Not at all. Don’t stress it! I’m on of the provisionals, and I was there. You were fine! Promise.
I’m so sure it wasn’t that bad! I’m sure the provisionals were so nervous for themselves that they didn’t even notice. Not that I’m speaking from experience or anything….
