Another crab recipe and other stuff
It has been a busy weekend. Besides last night, we had to look at furniture for the apartment in Maryland and do quite a few other errands. I am not real happy about having to take over the entire mortgage here, but I might get my wedding rings re-done so I guess I should not complain. (Just the bands, not the solitaire, long story.) Anyway, I had quite a bit of lump crab leftover from the cakes yesterday, so I decided to make dip for Ed. Chose to make this one.
Here are my thoughts. It needs something. I added a bit more lemon juice and mustard and a little less mayo, due to not having quite enough crab. Ed and I thought it needed a touch of hot sauce or Old Bay. It was a touch bland. The saltines are quite good though. I did not make the tomato part since it is just me and Ed. That might have been the missing link. Ed did really like it, despite the issues, so it is a recommendation.
Side note, the new Bourne movie is good.




I love crab dip. I like the basic recipe from Epicurious with Old By in it. My favorite recipe is from a friend but she refuses to give it to us… (she likes that it is her signature dip) Oh well…
